Quincy Car Thanks Wellpride for $100,000 Victory
March 26, 2014 – Two weeks after starting his homebred stallion, Quincy Car, on Wellpride fish oil for horses, Dr. Fernando Cardenas hit his biggest hunter/jumper show win ever – first prize in the Sullivan GMC Truck Grand Prix on March 16th.
“The horse didn’t break a sweat and wasn’t out of breath,” said Cardenas, who hails from New Hill, North Carolina. “I am a big believer.”
Cardenas decided to put Quincy Car on Wellpride after noting the rigorous course designed for the Ocala Horse Properties Stadium, where the Sullivan GMC Truck Grand Prix was being held.
“We needed to keep up the energy in the horse,” said Cardenas. His father, Fernando Cardenas Sr., a horse breeder and trainer, recommended he use Wellpride in preparation for the event.
Two weeks later, Cardenas said the results became apparent in Quincy Car’s show performance.
“We saw it in his energy level, his focus, and his breathing,” said Cardenas.
Following their Ocala victory, Cardenas and Quincy Car are headed to Lexington for the Kentucky Spring Horse Show in the first week of May.
